Position Summary:
Nickol Global Solutions (NGS) is seeking to recruit a Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) Lead to provide direction, management, and oversight for all CLA related aspects of an anticipated USAID/Indonesia Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Support Activity. The Activity will provide technical support and services to USAID/Indonesia and its implementing partners on relevant areas of the USAID Program Cycle and in support of USAID’s Indo-Pacific Vision. In this role, the CLA Lead will work to strengthen the capacity of Mission staff and partners to collaborate across a broad suite of stakeholders, ensure a strong enabling environment for intentional learning, and supporting decision-makers to make evidence-based decisions for adaptive management. This position will support internal activity staff and colleagues to intentionally learn through implementation and adapt approaches to optimize achievement of objectives. This position is contingent upon award and will be a full-time role based in Jakarta, Indonesia with an estimated start date of Summer 2025.
Duties:
The CLA Lead will have the overall responsibility to:
· Design and facilitate learning activities and collaborative engagements for Mission staff and implementing partners (IPs)
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
· Master’s degree (Bachelor’s degree accepted with additional experience) in the field of international development, organizational development, political science, business administration, change management, social sciences, or related field.
· Minimum of eight years of demonstrated experience (10 years for a Bachelor’s degree) in strategic planning; monitoring and evaluation; project design; facilitation of learning; and/or knowledge management, including experience in applying learning to improve international development programs and systems change for adaptive management of development organizations or agencies.
· Previous experience supporting USAID Missions or USAID IPs in a similar capacity.
· Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of USAID's CLA framework, Evaluation Policy, Localization, and other initiatives.
· Demonstrated emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, and diversity and inclusion values. Highly skilled in building trust- based and collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders and officials.
· Proven supervisory, mentorship, and leadership capabilities for all levels of staff (employees and consultants).
· Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the economic, ecological, social, cultural, and political characteristics of Indonesia, preferred.
· Excellent interpersonal, writing, and oral skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
· Client-focused, attention to detail, committed to excellence in product development.
· Proven ability to design and facilitate large- and small-scale learning activities.
· Previous experience managing or supervising individuals in a team setting.
