Description

  

  • Perform Quality role in working with operations employees, suppliers and customers to solve problems through statistical problem solving and corrective  action methodologies.
  • Inspect incoming material, work in progress and final product using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, eddy current equipment, ultrasonic equipment, dye penetrant inspection and other equipment as needed.
  • Implement and maintain a gauge calibration system.
  • Assist management with maintenance and continual improvement of Quality Management System key processes.  
  • Give input to quality management to Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Monitor results-based quality metrics and identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Quality Professional with 3-5 years implementing effective Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing environment desired.
  • Responsible for gathering information for process documentation.
  • Must have knowledge of specific steel specifications.
  • Must have knowledge of metrology practices, including eddy current and ultra-sonic technologies.
  • Proven usage of statistical methods to assure quality.
