Description

Vita Inclinata Technologies and Air Rescue Systems is seeking an experienced and qualified Instructor for our helicopter hoist and short haul operations training programs. The Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality training courses to our customers, ensuring that they meet the required standards and regulations for helicopter hoist and short haul operations. 


The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in helicopter hoist and/or short haul operations and be able to provide practical, hands-on training to our students and customers. 


Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Deliver high-quality training to customers, both in a classroom and practical setting, ensuring that they acquire the knowledge and skills needed to perform helicopter hoist and short haul operations safely and effectively.
  • Conduct classroom and practical training sessions for new and experienced personnel to ensure knowledge and skillset required to perform helicopter hoist and short haul operations safely and effectively.
  • Provide hands-on training in hoist and short haul operation, including equipment use, safety checks, emergency procedures, and a large number of live flight hoist and short haul operations.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of student progress, providing feedback and support as necessary to ensure that they achieve the required standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments, regulations, and best practices related to helicopter hoist and short haul operations and work with the training team to integrate them into the training program as needed.
  • Ensure all training activities comply with company policies, aviation regulations, and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular safety briefings and updates on hoist and short haul operation protocols.
  • Participate in internal safety audits and incident investigations as required, including supporting the Safety Committee in its efforts
  • Collaborate with other instructors and subject matter experts to continually improve the training program and materials.
  • Ensure that all training equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Solicit feedback from trainees and stakeholders to enhance training quality
  • Develop and maintain new and current customer relationships to drive additional training and product revenue
  • Assist with program and product development to keep Air Rescue Systems on the leading edge of helicopter hoist and short haul operations

Up to 75% Travel 


Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 8 to 10 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • At least 8 -10 years of experience in helicopter hoist and/or short haul operations, including practical experience in both onshore and offshore settings.
  • Experience as a trainer or instructor preferred.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours as required. 

Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • In-depth knowledge of helicopter hoist and short haul equipment, operation procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Strong training development, instructional, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of collaboration at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to assess trainee performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ability to build partnerships with related departments or functions to enhance efficiency and execution. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and potentially challenging environments.

Compensation


In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the compensation for this role is $75,000 - 110,000 per year plus bonus, however, Vita Inclinata Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
