Description

 

  • Expand, support, and oversee all existing domestic licensing programs.
  • Develop relationships with a targeted list of key retailers to capture licensing and manufacturing programs.
  • Seek out, negotiate, and manage new profitable licensing programs domestically, with input from internal stakeholders.
  • Develop a licensing forecast, operational budget, and profit goals, and provide quarterly reviews of each.
  • Regularly monitor the status of guarantees, profit, trends, and potential revenues for all existing and new licenses, and recommend changes as needed.
  • Develop and administer policies and procedures to streamline domestic and international licensing-related operations.
  • Review all licensing contracts and keep all key departments up to date on all obligations.
  • Research the domestic and international marketplace to find opportunities for licensed-related sales, product development, marketing, and promotions. This ranges from keeping articles current in trade journals to reporting on new licensed movies a year ahead of their release to have the product on the shelf by release time.  Also, brainstorm with Merchandising, Design, Marketing, and Sales to make sure we are driving the potential of each property we license.
  • Maintain regular contact with all licensors regarding their special needs and rollout information.
  • Expeditiously handle and coordinate all requests from licensors on such matters as sales information, promotions, forecasting information, and meetings.
  • Play a role in determining the licensed product needs for each season.
  • Actively participate in the planning and development of license-related marketing and communications materials.
  • Provide staff with all contact information for approvals, submissions, and artwork.
  • Represent the Company at various licensing associations and trade show gatherings.
Requirements

 

  • At least three years of progressively responsible apparel licensing experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all job levels and across all departments.
  • Must be highly organized, detail-minded, and able to work within clear deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, while also being a solid team player.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Some licensor experience is preferred.
