ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform intermediate to skilled tasks in maintaining and repairing small engine equipment and large machinery.
- Conduct welding services as needed.
- Adjust, repair, and reassemble engines, transmissions, rear ends, differentials, brakes, drive shafts, axles, and other assemblies.
- Read and interpret manufacturer operating manuals and service specifications to complete repair and maintenance tasks.
- Respond to roadside service calls and coordinate towing services as appropriate.
- Test, diagnose, and repair large equipment, including diesel-powered vehicles, tractors, dump trucks, excavators, and other heavy construction equipment.
- Complete all repairs to high standards of safety and quality.
- Schedule and conduct regular preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on all company equipment.
- Monitor equipment to ensure compliance with prescribed operating and safety standards.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED; combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of repair and maintenance experience.
- Experience with maintenance welding preferred.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in disassembling and reassembling various types of equipment quickly and accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility in diagnosing operational issues.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Indoor and outdoor work conditions.
- Extended work hours during peak seasons.
- Requires substantial physical activity, including strenuous tasks of a productive and technical nature.
- Moderate exposure to extreme weather conditions (heat and cold).
