Requirements

This position is an exempt-level, hybrid position (mostly remote with some in-person tasks).  Starting pay is $52,000/yr.


Candidates do not need to live in Orlando/Casselberry, however, they do need to live in the State of Florida with the ability to travel to Central Florida as needed.


Work Schedule: M-F 8 am-5 pm, flexible as needed.


POSITION SUMMARY 


The Grants Program Manager manages the grant-funded programs, designed to engage youth and adults with disabilities who have applied for Vocational Rehabilitation services and are awaiting referral to employU. The primary goal of the Grants Program Manager is to keep applicants actively engaged in their vocational journey through both online and in-person educational programming. This role involves contacting applicants upon application submission, scheduling classes and trainers, ensuring active participation, managing stipends, and serving as a liaison to provide guidance and address any inquiries. Additionally, the Grants Program Manager will support grant reporting and ensures compliance with grant requirements, including trade certifications as part of the educational programming. The role may also involve conducting module-based vocational classes directly.?

Essential Functions Statement(s) 


Program Management 

  • Schedules and coordinates online and in-person classes, including securing trainers and resources.? 
  • Monitors and ensures active participation of students in all educational programming.? 
  • Oversees the distribution of stipends to students, ensuring timely and accurate processing.? 

Applicant Engagement and Enrollment 

  • Contacts applicants immediately upon submission of their Vocational Rehabilitation application to encourage enrollment in the program.? 
  • Provides information about the programs, schedules, and benefits to facilitate prompt and enthusiastic participation.? 

Liaison and Support 

  • Acts as the primary point of contact for participants, addressing questions, providing guidance, and offering support throughout their involvement in the program.? 
  • Maintaisn open communication with participants to ensure they are receiving the assistance they need and staying engaged in their programs.? 

Module-Based Vocational Classes 

  • Works with the Instructional Program Manager to develop and conduct module-based vocational classes, focusing on relevant skills and knowledge that supports the vocational goals of the participants.  
  • Utilizes effective teaching methods and materials to facilitate learning and engagement in classes.? 

Grant Compliance and Reporting 

  • Assists in preparing and submitting grant reports, ensuring that all activities meet grant requirements.? 
  • Monitors and documents program activities to ensure compliance with grant stipulations.? 
  • Manages and reports on trade certification components as part of the educational programming.? 

Program Evaluation and Improvement 

  • Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programming and makes recommendations for improvements.? 
  • Collects and analyzes feedback from participants to continuously enhance the program experience.? 
  • Completes other related tasks as directed

SKILLS & ABILITIES 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, business administration, education, or a related field preferred.? 

Experience 

  • Experience in program management, particularly within nonprofit or vocational services, is highly desirable.?  
  • Knowledge of Vocational Rehabilitation processes, grant management, and trade certification programs is a plus.?   
  • Experience in developing and conducting vocational or educational classes is a plus.?   

Computer Skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with client management or program tracking software. 

   Other Requirements  

  • Open availability required: must be available during days, evenings and weekends. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated compassionate and empathetic ability to engage and motivate individuals with disabilities to achieve their vocational goals.  
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to be detail-oriented, work independently as well as working well with a team. 
  • Ability to be adaptable and resourceful to manage multiple tasks and deadlines as well as handling changing priorities and diverse tasks.  
  • Ability to pass a level 2 background check. 
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, auto registration, state minimum auto insurance coverage of $10,000 property damage liability/$10,000 personal injury liability.  
  • Bilingual is a plus (English / Spanish); ASL is a plus. 
  • Must have own computer, printer, smartphone with data plan, and high-speed internet connection.   

Supervision: Supervises driver positions. 

 

Travel: Intrastate travel as needed
