Description
We are seeking an inspired, value-aligned sales intern to serve as a Sales Deveopment Representative. Your key focus will be to research new target accounts, identify key titles and contacts, and conduct prospecting via LinkedIn, emails, and phone calls into these key accounts, while also capturing account data and prospecting activities in our CRM. This role will be entirely focused on market share and bringing net new opportunities to SmartSolve.
Requirements
Part-Time: 20 hours per week
Essential Duties:
- Research target accounts using existing tools: NielsonIQ, ZoomInfo, Hubspot, LinkedIn, internet search, or other resources to find key contact and titles within each account.
- Conduct prospecting efforts for each account via LinkedIn messaging, email (via HubSpot), and phone calls.
- Present SmartSolve to prospects and ask qualifying questions to identify customer needs.
- The ultimate goal is to dramatically increase the number of business opportunities or account executives and sales leadership can close.
- Nurture leads over time to eventually eliminate the variable of timing in the sales process.
- Leverage CRM for data capture and nurture campaigns.
- Hand off qualified customers to Account Executives, Director of Sales or CRO to close.
- Meet weekly and monthly prospecting performance metrics as assigned by Director of Sales & Marketing.
- All other responsibilities or projects as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Be innately driven, competitive, and have a high need to achieve
- Enjoy being process driven yet free to "create"
- Learn and leverage our tech stack: HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Nielsen, Gong, and LinkedIn
- Understanding of sales performance metrics and results driven
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to organize and schedule one's work and the self-motivation to diligently perform it with little supervision
- Good computer skills, including knowledge of excel, word, and familiarity with CRM software
- Perform store walks bi-weekly or monthly
Training and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field. (In progress)
- Experience in a sales role preferable but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Reaching for phone and keyboard
- Talking, hearing and repetitive motion
- Sedentary working - exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.
- Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
