Reports to: International Student Program Director
Classification: 12-month staff
Hours: Full-time, including some work outside normal business hours
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Lead the recruitment, screening, and visitation of host families, ensuring all the housing needs are met.
- Oversee and manage housing assignments, coordinating all communication between students and families.
- Develop, plan, and lead training sessions for host families as needed.
- Ensure regular contact by checking in with host families at least once a month.
- Collect, review, and act on feedback from students, sending parents, and host families, taking necessary steps to resolve issues and improve the student and host family experience.
- Monitor the social-emotional needs of students and host families, managing interventions when necessary.
- Holistically manage care for students and host families, addressing any challenges or concerns.
- Assist the student services to draft and implement emergency care plans as needed to ensure student safety and well-being.
- Ensure compliance with coverage requirements by processing and reviewing student immunization records and medical documentation.
- Lead the weekly review of international students' intervention reports and arrange tutoring services through the Learning Center as needed.
- Plan, schedule, and lead academic conferences with students and sending parents in both the Fall and Spring semesters.
- Maintain comprehensive personnel files for all international students, ensuring documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Handle communication with students and sending parents, addressing individual student concerns or discipline issues as they arise.
- Provide bi-weekly updates to sending parents during the school year, keeping them informed on student progress and well-being.
- Participate and engage fully in weekly Kairos gatherings during the school year.

Strong preference for candidates with a background in family counseling, social work, or a related field. Experience in managing the emotional and social dynamics of both students and families is highly valued. Fluency in a second language is preferred, with the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural setting. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain a positive and supportive environment for both students and host families. Experience working in an international or cross-cultural setting is a plus.
