ALTR is seeking an Associate Accountant who will assist with the preparation of financial reports, perform general accounting tasks, and maintain accurate financial records. This role is an entry-level position suited for candidates with basic accounting knowledge and a desire to develop their skills in a professional setting.

  • Financial Data Entry:
    • Record daily financial transactions such as income, expenses, and payments in accounting software.
    • Ensure accurate data entry and       classification of financial transactions.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
    • Prepare and issue customer invoices, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
    • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.
  • Bank Reconciliations:
    • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately reflected in company records.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and financial records.
  • General Ledger Maintenance:
    • Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries and ensuring transactions are categorized correctly.
    • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in preparing financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
    • Provide supporting documentation for audits or financial reviews.
  • Expense Tracking:
    • Monitor and record employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.
    • Reconcile company credit card transactions and ensure proper documentation.
  • Compliance:
    • Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
    • Stay updated on accounting regulations and tax laws.
Requirements

  

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and  problem-solving skills.

Please note, this role is expected to be on site full-time. 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internship or previous work experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Familiarity with tax preparation and filing.
  • Experience with Excel and other financial reporting tools.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
