What you will be doing:
The Academic Operations Coordinator provides support for Academic Operations, with a strong focus on assisting with faculty scheduling, hiring, credential management, and administrative tasks related to the evaluation of faculty members. The Academic Operations Coordinator is also responsible for administrative tasks associated with processing student accommodations. This position requires attention to detail, fastidious documentation practices, creative problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Assist with distribution of teaching assignments for faculty members, including issuing contract offers, managing contract acceptance in the faculty management system, and sending course reminder communications to assigned instructors, both pre- and post-class
- Assist with processing faculty payroll
- Assist with maintaining faculty documentation, including evidence of professional development activities and updating rosters of active faculty
- Conduct regular audits of faculty documentation to ensure accuracy as well as compliance with SDI policies
- Track and manage ungraded assignments, including communications with faculty members (weekly)
- Assist with LMS testing efforts as needed
- Assist with administration of instructional issues
- Manage student ADA accommodation requests and paperwork
- Manage records related to academic dishonesty violations and incomplete grade requests
- Provide support for management of Academic Affairs documents
- Assist with routing of and responses to issue tickets submitted to the Faculty Support Center
- Participate in projects and initiatives as required to support the mission of SDI
- Participate in meetings as required
- Perform other administrative duties supporting the Academic Operations department

What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent education is required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Three years or more experience working in administrative roles in a higher education setting
- Three years or more experience using student, faculty, and/or issue management systems
- Experience working with ADA accommodation requests a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and exceptional customer service skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Ability to function well independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately without close supervision
- Windows computer proficiency skills, including expertise with the Microsoft Office package
