Job Summary

TKA is a Christ-centered school grounded in a Biblical worldview, and we are looking for an Accounting & Human Resources Specialist who is a follower of Jesus Christ and is dedicated to the school’s Christ-centered mission. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the day-to-day business office tasks are accurate and completed in a timely manner. This position will collaborate with both the Accounting Specialist as well as the Human Resources Specialist to ensure there is proper cross training in all areas of the Business Office. 

Requirements

Essential Job Functions

Accounting Activities

  • Support Accounts Payable (Bill.com, manual checks, submittals, W9s, POs)
  • Run reporting as necessary
  • Assist with bank deposits
  • Cross-Train on the following areas:
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Tuition Management
    • Annual audits
    • Tuition Assistance 

Human Resources Activities

  • Manage compliance with all employee certifications (CPR, First Aid, TB, etc)
  • Recruiting (job posting, oversee hiring panels, liaison with candidates)
  • Onboarding (online packets, new hire setups, etc)
  • Cross-Train on the following areas:
    • Payroll Administration (200 employees)
    • Contractor onboarding (W9s, contracts, certificates)
    • Employment Verifications
    • Audits and annual reporting

Regular Activities

  • Mentor a group of students by meeting daily as part of the school’s home group program

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred
  • 4+ years administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources
  • 4+ years bookkeeping experience including Quickbooks experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience which demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above described essential job functions

  • Excellent skills in communicating both orally and in written form 
  • Able to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite
  • Ability to learn new computer software systems
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to 10-key with speed and accuracy

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Required to use the computer throughout the day
  • Work will be performed from the campus
  • Will move throughout the campus during the day
  • May occasionally have to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Work is generally performed, Year-Round, Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
  • This position will occasionally require you to work nights, weekends and overnights (for Fall retreat and Spring service week). As much advance notice as possible will be provided.

  • Pay Grid: Specialist III
  • Pay Grid Range: $67,976 to $82,862
    • This position is paid based on a preset salary grid, and the actual salary will be determined by applicable education and experience as determined by the HR department. The starting pay listed reflects this position's minimum experience and education requirements. The top pay range represents the top of the pay grid for this position. It is rare for a candidate to enter this position at the top of the pay grid. Most candidates can expect to enter in the lower to middle section of the pay grid, depending on experience and education.
