What You Will Be Doing:
The VP, Credit Manager is responsible for providing support and direction for Senior Credit Analysis staff. Responsible for the oversight of work product produced by the credit team.
How You Will Get the Job Done:
- Leadership, Management & Accountability (LMA): Leads, manages and holds Credit Analysis staff accountable for achieving agreed-upon commitments and demonstrating a One Team mentality. Helps manage the credit analysis workflow, meet client service expectations, and contribute to fulfilling the team’s strategic initiatives. Plays a positive role in the continued development and growth of the Bank’s Senior Credit Analysis staff. Drives consistency, accuracy, and adherence to Loan Policy in credit presentations.
- Analysis & Underwriting: Serve as an expert in preparing and contributing to credit presentations that sufficiently and appropriately summarize the analysis of the sources of repayment using a risk-based approach. Demonstrates expertise and experience in analyzing and underwriting complex credits. Maintains knowledge in assessing creditworthiness of borrowers, financial analysis and the Bank’s Loan Policy.
- Credit Administration: Partners with credit team and lenders to support on-going credit administration and portfolio management. Ensures electronic credit files are maintained appropriately by credit team. Develop user efficiencies within customer relationship management system. Supports the maintenance of the Bank’s Loan Policy and documentation of approval forms and documents.
- Credit Approval: Responsible for reviewing and approving credit transactions as designated in the Bank’s Loan Policy. May serve on credit committees to provide feedback to lenders and analysts on underwriting, structuring, documentation and monitoring.
- Documentation: Demonstrated expertise and experience to coordinate accurate documentation of all components of the approved credit accommodation, including perfection of collateral. Expert in using Excel to its fullest capacity including, designing and implementing complex spreadsheets, tables and financials for credit presentations. Together with lender, collaborate with bank counsel on complex credits and structures.
- Collaboration: Partners with Credit Management, Risk, Loan Administration and Credit Administration staff to identify opportunities for training, development, process improvement, and new initiatives. Serves as an expert resource for credit analysts.

- Keep well informed as to market conditions as it relates to assessing risk in credit transactions.
Professional & Educational Experience You Bring:
A Bachelor’s Degree from four-year College or University with emphasis on business, finance, accounting, or statistics; a minimum of 7 years of experience in banking in a similar role (e.g. commercial and consumer lending/credit analysis); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
