Headquartered in Cincinnati, OH the company is dedicated to bringing better beers to consumers throughout Ohio, Indiana and Florida.

Basic Function:
This role will be responsible for assisting the District Sales Manager with merchandising and sales support to ensure continuity in product offering by promoting Cavalier products throughout the assigned market.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance relationships within key accounts such as Total Wine, Whole Foods, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, and other area retail stores.
  • Merchandising duties – including shelf placement, display building, and product rotation
  • Ensure product freshness within the store
  • Assist in all resets of chain stores.
  • Assist in set up and tear down of all special events and festivals.
  • Generate new business by calling on chain stores/off premise accounts as needed.
  • Install point of service signage.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates including evenings and/or weekends.
  • Act as a support delivery driver or as a back-up driver depending on staffing needs.
  • Responsible for handling cash payments and payments via Fintech and submitting to Accounts Receivable for processing when making deliveries.
  • Assist District Sales Manager in covering routes for Sales Representatives on vacation.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities and industry trends.
  • Maintain proficiency on company routing software.
  • Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Attend quarterly driver meetings.
  • Any other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent customer relation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and have strong time management skills.
  • Ability to process information
  • Ability to communicate with supervisor, Company Sales Representatives, current and prospective customers on a professional level.
  • Ability to speak and write the English language at least at the high school level is required.
  • Basic understanding of Cavalier Distributing products.
  • Ability to drive a straight/box truck to destinations and must be able to back truck in and out of receiving docks when filling in as a driver.
  • Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
  • Ability to add and subtract, using whole numbers and decimals.
