Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tool and Die Maker to join our team. As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for designing, crafting, and maintaining precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gages used in the manufacturing process. Your expertise will contribute to the production of high-quality components, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in our manufacturing operations.


Key Responsibilities:


Interpret engineering drawings/blueprints and specifications to create precision tools and dies.

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to fabricate components.

Diagnose, correct, inspect, and test completed tools, dies, or fixtures for conformance to specifications.

Troubleshoot and repair tools and dies to maintain optimal functionality.

Collaborate with engineers and other team members to provide input on design improvements and modifications.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.

Stay updated on industry Trends, Materials, and technologies to enhance skills and knowledge.

Other jobs as assigned by the supervisor.


Requirements:


Completion of a 2-year machine trade school in Tool and Die or equivalent.

Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or in a similar role

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Skilled in operating various machine tools and precision measuring instruments.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in craftsmanship.

Problem-solving ability to troubleshoot and repair tools and dies.

Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


This job may require lifting various weights, standing for various lengths of time, and stooping and bending occasionally.
