As the Willow Kids Lead Volunteer Coordinator at Willow South Barrington you will oversee the recruitment & retention of volunteers for Willow Kids including; recruitment initiatives, orientation, onboarding and appreciation events throughout the year. You will also lead & manage all of the Volunteers for Elementary grades 2nd-5th at our two Sunday services. In addition, you will support room leaders within each age/classroom in the Elementary grades 2nd-5th in developing a growing volunteer team that has strong personal connections and is living out the mission of Willow Kids when they serve children and each other.
The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 and is dependent upon levels of experience and/or education. Job Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment, orientation, onboarding, and appreciation initiatives for Willow Kids South Barrington volunteers
- Partner with Operations Manager to onboard new Elementary volunteers and lead offboarding of Elementary volunteers
- Lead recruitment & appreciation initiatives for Willow Kids South Barrington volunteers.
- Develop leadership teams (Room leaders) that oversee each classroom for our Elementary ministry and partner with the Central Ministries team to develop leadership training for all volunteers in Willow Kids.
- Conduct leadership interviews for potential elementary volunteers with an emphasis on care and determining right fit, collaborating with Willow Kids onboarding program.
- Oversee the elementary volunteers and elementary set-up staff at Sunday services. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to: written and verbal communication, scheduling updates/changes, resourcing & training volunteers, sharing vision for various ministry components, and proactively solving challenges within short turn-around time
- Partner with our Kid Experience Team to support Willow Kids families and volunteers with inclusion & behavior support for kids in Elementary ages & spaces.
- Manage all Willow South Barrington Kids ministry volunteer team budgets and purchasing.
