The Travel / Operations Support Specialist coordinates and implements the Guardians of Honor (GOH) travel management process, directly supporting the NASA Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Services contract. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for all travelers approved by the NASA Contractor Officer Representative (COR) and will perform administrative, organization, coordination, and reporting tasks as needed
Reports to: Deputy Program Manager
Essential Functions:
- Primary point of contact for all GOH and GOH partner travelers under the NSTEM contract
- Monitor and respond to any inquiries/questions (within 24 hours) sent to the NSTEM_Travel@gohnow.com email box.
- Maintain / update the database of all Travel Request forms and ensure that the Program Manager, Deputy Program Managers, and Business Manager are kept abreast of any time-sensitive or financial issues identified.
- Serve as the primary GOH liaison between travelers and National Travel, Inc.
- Coordinate with Business Manager to ensure GOH payment methods and/or credit card(s) on file are updated as needed
- Ensure travel authorization levels are adhered to based on COR approved estimates and escalate to management, when required
- Facilitate electronic /paper approvals required for completing hotel and rental car specific payment authorizations

Work environment: The work environment is a typical office setting or virtual/remote setting.
Physical demands: The physical demands of the job include sitting for extended periods, and occasional walking and standing. Some light lifting may occasionally be necessary up to 15 lbs.
Position type and expected hours of work: This is a full-time exempt position. Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 40-50 hours per week. Some job activities may be required outside of typical workdays/hours. Overtime is expected during peak periods.
Travel: 20% local and regional travel, with overnight stays necessary
Required education and experience: Bachelor’s degree required.
Additional eligibility qualifications: At least 2 years of relative experience.
