Job Summary:

  

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a strategic leader and trusted business partner to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the rest of the leadership team. The CFO will focus on driving the company’s strategic vision while setting its financial roadmap to support successful company operations and facilitate thoughtful decision-making. S/he will have overall responsibility for all financial matters of the Company, including accounting and financial controls, financial planning and analysis, reporting, and daily finance operations. S/he will ensure optimum resources, systems, reporting, and analytics to enhance the business globally and take the lead on acquisition financial due diligence and integration. 


Key responsibilities include:

§ Partner closely with the CEO and the full management team in the development and implementation of business strategies in support of the growth of the business.

§ Recruit and motivate a strong team of finance professionals that work collaboratively with each other, leaders in the business, third parties and key clients to drive continuous improvement into the firm’s financial processes.

§ Manage all accounting related activities and develop appropriate reporting and internal controls across the organization. Ensure that the organization’s accounting policies and procedures are in line with best practices. 

§ Develop and manage the timely preparation of all financial reports, including operating models, budgets and forecasts. 

§ Create rigorous and value-added analytics on key performance metrics to provide insight and drive action with decision makers across the company.

§ Help develop and transform the finance function’s culture towards one focused on action, initiative and accountability, driving results that support the business strategy. Bring financial discipline and rigor to the business and drive broader company strategy on pricing, margins and cash flow.

§ Oversee capital allocation and investment decisions to ensure optimal utilization of financial resources. Maintain a strong balance sheet management and forecasting discipline.

§ Lead operations and design and manage the finance infrastructure necessary to support the company’s growth.

§ Partner closely with the business on accounts receivable to ensure streamlined collections processes and payment processing out to the contractor network

§ Establish a strong working relationship with the company’s private equity sponsor and communicate all financial matters and issues with them.

§ Oversee relationships with debt financing sources and compliance with the credit agreement (reporting, covenants)

§ Act as primary contact with the company’s audit firm and facilitate the annual audit of the company’s financial statements. 

§ Lead the coordination of the firm’s tax planning and execution strategy and work with the appropriate professionals to manage the firm’s tax exposure.

§ Play a leadership role in forecasting/anticipating fiscal heath as well as spotting risks, threats, and opportunities.

§ Build a flexible, high-performing finance technology platform that supports the firm’s organic growth and acquisition efforts. 

§ Support the firm’s acquisition efforts by performing extensive financial due and leading the integration planning of key financial functions and processes including post-closing financial reporting.

§ Instill a culture of integrity, ethics and transparency. Earn the respects of his/her peers and subordinates by serving as a role model and champion for superior business performance and operational excellence.


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  

The ideal candidate will be an experienced finance leader with in-depth financial, accounting, managerial and operational experience with experience leading in a private equity owned business and extensive acquisition experience. The successful candidate will exhibit sound financial judgment and a collaborative, transparent working style. S/he will bring a track record of developing financial analysis and tools to drive business performance and profitability.  Specific experience and qualifications include:


§ Superior financial management and financial analysis capabilities, with the experience and confidence to analyze, understand and drive action throughout the business on key issues.

§ Experience performing and/or supervising accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and operations functions.

§ Strong quantitative orientation with an ability to quickly interpret data and discern smart decision making that can be concisely conveyed back to the leadership team.

§ Demonstrated experience in a highly collaborative and flat organization to fit into a “roll up your sleeves” culture.

§ Strong communication skills with an ability to build relationships that garner respect, internally with the senior team and financial and operations employees, and externally with key constituencies such as private equity investors and auditors

§ Experience with acquisitions – leading due diligence, valuation and structuring efforts as well as post-deal integration and reporting efforts.

§ Experience with driving value from the firm’s technology systems and more broadly leveraging technology to enhance data accuracy and visibility and the efficiency of key financial and business processes. 

§ Highly skilled manager who leads his/her group by clearly communicating expectations, following-through on deliverables and providing input and direction to ensure the accurate and timely development and communication of financial data. 

§ Strong executive presence with ability to successfully present to the Board, senior management, and private equity investors.

§ Bachelor’s degree required. A CPA designation is strongly preferred. An advanced degree, such as MBA, is also highly desirable.
