Job Summary:
The dispatcher is responsible for assigning jobs to drivers and ensuring that all service requests are completed in a timely fashion. In addition to performing data entry and customer service tasks, the dispatcher’s main duty is to be the main source of communication for drivers and help them resolve any issues that may arise throughout the day. This position examines logistic capacities and assigns jobs accordingly so that services may be completed as efficiently as possible. A high degree of problem-solving skills are required for this position, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively while prioritizing time-sensitive tasks.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Ensure drivers are on schedule to complete their daily pickups/deliveries
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Data entry tasks
- Customer service tasks (answer e-mails, phone calls, etc)
- Sort deliveries by pre-determined areas to create driver manifests
- Enter, schedule, and assign jobs through Crown Freight Manager software.
- Determine if drivers have the capacity to accept additional jobs throughout the day
- Respond to customer problems and engage in conflict resolution
- Ensure that drivers are on schedule to complete their assigned jobs
- Troubleshoot logistical issues
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm
Pay Starting At: $17-$20/ hour, depending on experience

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Customer Service experience (1 year minimum)
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
