Position Summary:

The Director of Relationship Management (DRM) leads a team of relationship managers dedicated to fostering and expanding business opportunities through existing client relationships. The DRM is a strategic leader with excellent interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of business development, and a passion for client engagement. The Director will be responsible for setting the direction and strategy for the team, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving revenue growth through the effective management of client relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow business through existing client relationships.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of relationship managers, providing guidance and support to achieve team and company goals.
  • Establish performance metrics and objectives for the team, and regularly review progress.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and identifying opportunities for additional services or solutions.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for escalations and high-profile client interactions.
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality client experiences across the team.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business within the existing client base.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, marketing, product development) to align strategies and ensure cohesive client engagement.
  • Analyze market trends and client feedback to identify new growth areas and inform product/service enhancements.

Team Development:

  • Recruit, train, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development.
  • Encourage innovation and the sharing of best practices within the team.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on client satisfaction, revenue growth, and other key metrics to senior leadership.
  • Use data analytics to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to keep the team informed and proactive.
Requirements

  • Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing client relationships.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales strategies.
  • In-depth understanding of the industry and market in which the organization operates.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and agreements with clients.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively with other departments and stakeholders.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in client relationship management, business development, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing teams and driving business growth.
  • Experience in the banking industry with preference given to sales related to credit/debit card processing, core processing, electronic banking, bill pay, and/or mobile banking.
  • Knowledge of Credit Card Processing, Debit Card Processing, Core Processing, and Online Banking, vendors, tools, and processes.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Position Type/Expected hours of Work:

  • Full Time/ 40 hours per week
