Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour depending on Experience and Certifications

Dashi Rivers, a division of Kennedy Care, is looking for Behavior Technicians (BT’S) to join our mission in providing a fun, family-centered ABA therapy approach to our learners and their families. ABA is a proven approach used to evaluate human behavior in order to produce meaningful changes.
This position is a great opportunity if you have experience as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), Teacher Assistant, Mental Health Technician, Paraprofessional, Daycare or Preschool professional. What to Expect:
Using research-based methods, BTs provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy to children in a center or home-based setting. BTs work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in delivering essential behavioral services for children with autism.

Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to company ethical guidelines and Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Motivate early learners during program implementation in a 1:1 setting
- Electronically collect data accurately to ensure the effectiveness of treatment
- Implement written plans to decrease mild to severe aggression and challenging behaviors
- Communicate proactively and timely with BCBAs, caregivers, and/or legal guardians
- Calmly respond to unexpected behaviors independently and appropriately
- Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines
- Complete assigned training and education as necessary
- Ability to use electronic software
- Provide clear and efficient documentation

Schedule:
Varied shifts Monday-Friday between 8am-6pm, occasional Saturdays for make up sessions

- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- RBT Certification (Preferred)
- Valid Michigan Drivers License (Required)
- Must pass a background check
- Experience working with children and/or background in Special Education, Psychology, Mental or Behavioral Health (preferred but not required)
- Energetic, empathetic, and passionate about working with children or adults with special needs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be involved in physical floor play including but not limited to bending and reaching
- Experienced RBTs MUST possess valid RBT credential number on the BACB website
