RTA is looking for an IT & Facilities Manager to oversee and execute all aspects of our IT operations. As a team of one, you’ll be responsible for both strategic IT initiatives and front-line technical support, ensuring that our technology infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable. You’ll also collaborate with various departments, providing the technical expertise needed to support initiatives like software migrations and process improvements.
What You’ll Do
As the IT & Facilities Manager, you will:
- Be the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues, providing front-line technical support for staff and ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and network problems.
- Oversee the company’s IT infrastructure, including cloud services, network management, and system security.
- Support non-technical departments, such as Finance and HR, in managing their software tools, including assisting with migrations from one software system to another, troubleshooting, and providing technical guidance.
- Lead IT-related projects, including software migrations and upgrades, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the best possible technology solutions and support.
- Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring scalability and efficiency as the company grows.
- Maintain and enforce network and system security protocols, managing risk and ensuring compliance.
- Establish and maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures.
- Monitor IT performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide user training and ensure staff are equipped with the necessary tools and technology.
- Work with our controller to handle facilities issues/scheduling (i.e. HVAC repair, scheduling a plumber etc)
Who You Are
You are someone who:
- Is highly self-motivated, and comfortable managing IT operations independently while providing hands-on support.
- Thrives on supporting cross-functional teams, offering technical guidance to non-technical departments as they adopt new tools or undergo software migrations.
- Has a proven track record of successfully managing IT in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
- Excels at problem-solving and can troubleshoot and resolve technical issues swiftly.
- Understands the importance of uptime, reliability, and security in technology operations.
- Has experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.) and network management.
- Communicates effectively and can manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Is comfortable balancing short-term support needs with long-term IT strategy.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IT management, with hands-on technical support experience.
- Experience managing IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud services, and system security.
- Experience supporting non-technical teams through software migrations and other technical projects.
- Proficiency in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage IT operations independently, balancing both strategic initiatives and day-to-day support.
- Strong experience in one or more programming and/or scripting language (powershell, C#, Java, javascript etc)
- Proven track record of automating the mundane, boring tasks of day-to-day life
