As part of the LIFE's Senior Services PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) team, we perform a vital service by providing primary care for Tulsa's aging population. Our amazing team of professional’s job is to provide services and oversight to keep participants in their homes for as long as safely possible. Most participants have numerous chronic conditions and have had minimal healthcare in the past.
As a very personal service provider, Home Care Aides provide personal care assistance as needed. A genuine desire to work with older adults, and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with them and their caregivers while presenting a caring, friendly attitude is a must, and LIFE’s Home Care Aides are expected to demonstrate daily a commitment to the organization's Core Values of:

We acknowledge that this level of care and commitment to our values isn't for everyone, so please consider carefully whether you're up for the challenge; we're looking for the best! In-home duties may include:
- Providing companionship through conversation and active listening.
- Providing personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (i.e., feeding, transfers and ambulation, showering, toileting, hand washing, grooming, dressing)
- Reminding client of medication schedule.
- Occasional meal preparation and light housekeeping.
- Recording changes in the client’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance.
- Documenting services delivered in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Possess a caring attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly.
*** Reliable transportation, cell phone, verifiable car insurance and good driving record is required ***
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Holds and maintains a current Oklahoma Long Term Care Aide certification
- Holds and maintains a current Driver’s license.
- Upon hire, will obtain and maintain current certifications in first aid and CPR.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Prefer a minimum one year of experience as a CNA.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
- A genuine desire to work with older adults.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills with older adults, caregivers and coworkers.
- Present a caring, friendly attitude with an outgoing personality.
This is a Safety Sensitive position requiring candidates to have:
- a background check,
- a pre-employment drug test,
- motor vehicle record check,
- TB screen.
All LIFE Home Care Companions (20+ hours per week) are eligible for:
