Lake Butler Hospital is a critical access hospital in North Florida providing 24-hour emergency services, inpatient hospitalization, short-term rehab programs, rehabilitation services, outpatient laboratory, and outpatient radiology (X-ray, ultrasound, and CT Scan) services to Union County and the surrounding counties. We are seeking an Assistant Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team!

Job Summary:


The Assistant CFO will support the current EVP/CFO in providing strategic leadership and oversight of the fiscal operations of the organization. The successful candidate will be in line for succession into the CFO role.  Major responsibilities which will need to be supported include guiding and directing a strategic financial plan and annual operating and capital budgets; financial analysis of new programs, acquisitions and business development; revenue cycle management; accounting; payroll; preparation of the financial statements, in accordance with financial management and techniques appropriate to the health care industry; decision support and cost accounting; health information management and supply chain oversight.  Responsibilities for the position will change with changing business needs.

Requirements

We are seeking someone with the following credentials:


Education: Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Finance. Business Administration or equivalent experience. Master in accounting/Finance or Healthcare Administration preferred.


Experience: Minimum ten (10) years of healthcare delivery system administration with demonstrated career progression and at least five (5) years of senior level finance experience. 


Skills: Strong Finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles. Expert In Microsoft Office products, excel, word, access. Must have strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Have excellent grammar and communication skills. Must display strong organizational skills and be of the self-motivating character.


Knowledge: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Leadership techniques and coordination of people and resources. Must understand the accounting and financial reporting regulations as it relates to a critical access hospital. 


Abilities: Must be a strong hands-on and approachable leader who understands the value of being a team player. Must understand how to motivate and inspire teams to achieve optimal results, while keeping employee satisfaction/engagement high. Ability to coordinate and prioritize activities. Displays responsibility to confidentiality of financial and patient information.
