Senior Software Systems Architect

Venesco is seeking a systems architect with knowledge of Army and/or DoD tactical systems. This position will advise senior

decision makers on network strategy and integration efforts. 

Applicants must have network architecture/engineering experience and experience with Army networks is preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a specialized field with 10 years of experience
• Or a Bachelor's in any field with 15 years of specialized experience
• Or a Master's in a specialized field with 5 years of experience
• Secret clearance
• Must possess an analytical mindset, strong problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of cloud technologies,
• Strong microservices experience
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with senior technical leaders

Preferred:

• Proficient in at least one major programming language (e.g.Java, Python, C/C++) and related tech stacks (e.g.LAMP, MERN, etc.)
• Experience as a software architect designing and overseeing the implementation of software applications
• Experience designing software applications that use containerized microservices
• Experiences with container orchestration/runtime platform such as RedHat OpenShift
• Familiar with modern software architecture and design patterns
• In-depth knowledge of inter-process and inter-application communication and integration (such as through messaging and RPC)
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and/or fielding mission-critical or safety-critical systems for DoD or other public-sector organizations a strong plus -such systems may include but not limited to command and control, weapon systems, or aerospace systems.
