Position: Full-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (in office)
Pay Range: $55.00-$60.00 per hour
Location: Scranton, PA
Education and/or Experience:
· Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or post-Master’s Nurse Practitioner Certificate required. Must hold active Pennsylvania licensure, prescriptive authority, unencumbered DEA licensure, and ANCC certification in specialty.
· Must hold a mental health certificate or obtain a mental health certificate within two years of being hired
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including medical history and physical examinations as necessary.
· Provide care for up to 28 patients per 8-hour day.
· Utilize clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills to assess and treat mental/emotional illnesses in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other treatment team members.
· Identify, treat, and manage chronic mental health conditions.
· Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as psychological assessments, lab work, or other medical evaluations.
· Prescribe medications in alignment with patient diagnosis and care plan.
· Educate patients to empower them in making informed decisions about their health.
· Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers when needed.
· Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation.
· Collaborative physician agreement with the Aaron Center’s Medical Director

· Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct in all interactions.
· Fluent in reading, speaking, and understanding English.
· Skilled in using electronic health record systems and ensuring thorough documentation of patient care.
