The Senior Accountant assists with all month-end close procedures and will be responsible for performing complex accounting functions, such as deferred revenue analysis, commission calculations, percentage of completion accounting, and reconcile complex balance sheet reconciliations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-motivated, team player with a solid working knowledge of GAAP, full-cycle business processes, and internal controls. The candidate is required to have a flexible learning style and take on new things rapidly.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Perform percentage of completion analysis, accruals, and related reporting
- Record intercompany accounting entries and reconciliations
- Provide analysis and status of reserves, assets, and expenditures
- Prepare journal entries and review journal entries of staff accountants to ensure accuracy
- Prepare Sales team commissions calculations and sales commission accrual
- Review revenue and COGS accounts for proper recognition and cost accounting. Analyze gross margin and resolve discrepancies.
- Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations
- Assisting with external audits
- Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA) preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, QuickBooks, and/or ConnectWise a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in general accounting duties including journal entry preparation and review, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Experience working in a multi-entity company with $100M+ in revenue preferred
- Experience with global operations preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of percentage of completion accounting.
- 4+ years of proven experience in accounting and/or audit roles required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advanced skills are required).
- Knowledge of GAAP and the ability to apply in practice.
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 depending upon experience
