Sales Representative
Description

  The Territory Sales Representative will represent employer in local trading area selling Hill & Markes, Inc., a BradyPLUS Company distributed products and services to his/her assigned accounts by performing the duties and expected standards of achievement.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources 
  • Proactively pursues new business by opening up new accounts and by introducing new products to existing accounts
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profit targets.
  • Communicates regularly with sales manager on sales target status and requests support as needed
  • Informs management of current market conditions and competitive changes in the marketplace
  • Keeps adequate sales records and materials necessary to make professional sales presentations
  • Maintains a strong working product knowledge, current product literature, and selling skills
  • Displays or demonstrates products, using samples or catalogs, and emphasizes saleable features
  • Assists in accounts receivable collections
  • Communicates with the purchasing department to coordinate customer product quotes, special requests, new items, forecasting, etc.
  • Works with Sales Support staff for customer support with special orders, emergency deliveries, literature needs, samples, vendor info, etc.
  • Interacts with Contract Sales Department staff on price managed accounts
  • Develops and maintains positive relationship with customer
  • Establishes and maintains a profitable customer base of assigned customer accounts in conjunction with Sales Manager
  • Matches customer needs with products
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with orders, deliveries, payables
  • Maintains customer accounts at the discretion of the Company
  • Attends sales meetings, seminars, company offered training, and other designated meetings, and works with vendor representatives as directed by Sales Manager
  • Attends trade show presenting a professional and orderly image at all times; encourages attendance from customers and assists with showcases vendor products
  • Maintains a valid driver’s license and an appropriate business vehicle with insurance
  • Responsible for all Company-owned Property and retains confidentiality with proprietary materials
  • Understands and adheres to Company’s Safety policies and procedures
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor or other management

Salary Description
$90,000-$110,000
