General Job Description
Dogwood Industries is seeking a full-time IT System Administrator to join our growing team. The company is an industrial manufacturer with facilities in Sedro-Woolley, Everett, and Bothell WA. A successful candidate will be experienced in serving the technological needs of a business and be ready to provide IT support and leadership as the company grows.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate software updates and upgrades, test new features and ensure compatibility with existing systems before deployment.
- Monitor, Manage, and Assist with the implementation and maintenance of backup and disaster recovery procedures for company data and systems.
- Participate in regular IT security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities in systems and processes.
- Provide on-call support for emergencies outside of regular business hours.
- Procure, install, configure, and maintain workstation and server hardware, software, and networking devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
- Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Database for SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SolidWorks PDM, and ERP software.
- Support and maintain databases on servers that run Microsoft SQL Server Standard.
- Manage the installation, configuration, and maintain Azure government cloud.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end users.
- Maintain inventory of computer hardware and software.
- Management of cell phones and VoIP phone system.
- Manage connectivity and security of networked large industrial equipment (python).
- Completing large IT projects and Occasionally Interface with MSP.
- Travel to Bothell and Everett offices for services as needed.
Requirements
- US Citizen
- 5+ years of experience as an IT Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of workstations, servers, and networking systems
- Strong Knowledge of PDM, SolidWorks software, and SQL Database structures
- Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving basic computer issues
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and writing skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Technical Certifications are a plus: Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA
- Knowledge of NIST 800-171 and CMMC requirements
- Knowledge of Azure and cloud environments
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, or SQL
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
This position is hands on (physically present) and requires moderate physical activity in an office environment in Sedro-Woolley, WA. Travel to Bothell or Everett office for service as needed. To perform the essential functions of this job, the employee will be walking to and from buildings in an industrial setting, climbing stairs (and ladders if necessary) and regularly sitting at a desk for computer work, utilizing the telephone frequently and participating in meetings with colleagues. Position requires lifting up to 40 lbs. The employee will occasionally be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors.
Compensation
$28.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location
This position is located at the Dogwood Factory at 500 Metcalf, Sedro Wooley, WA 98284. Remote/hybrid options are not available, at this time. Travel to the Everett Factory or Corporate Office in Bothell, WA as needed or required.
