Description

The Maintenance Mechanic will uphold the mechanical maintenance needs of our company and assist production to guarantee that all our products meet quality and customer expectations.


Description: The Maintenance Mechanic position will assist in operating, testing, maintaining, and calibrating electromechanical equipment. 


Primary Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following:

• Use specialized instruments to measure parts and ensure they meet specifications.

• Diagnose failures, determine parts and material requirements, and perform repairs as required to resume Operation on equipment.

• Test the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies.

• Install electronic components using soldering equipment and hand tools. On occasion interact with machine manufacturers to complete this requirement.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all equipment as well as facilities.

• Analyze and record test results and prepare written documentation.

• Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, tools, workstations, and overall facility.

• Responsible for all aspects of maintenance including ensuring OSHA lock out/tag out procedures are in place, 100% compliance with regulatory production & maintenance, (PMs), permits and codes.

• Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Promote safety, good housekeeping, quality, and good environmental practices.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

• A minimum of 1 year in the Corrugated industry. 

• 1 year with welding and PLC knowledge experience.

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine how to assemble parts, machines, and other equipment.

• Ability to Electrically and mechanically Inspect parts for defects.

• Familiar with PLC controls for electro-mechanical troubleshooting.

• Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.

• Knowledge of warehouse and manufacturing functions.

• Ability to work after hours and weekends when necessary.

• Ability to work in a fast environment.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and task management skills.

• Strong computer proficiency including Outlook, Email, Excel.

• Basic math skills to calibrate and measure specifications.

• In-depth understanding of company standards.

• Preferred Forklift Certified.

• Bilingual Preferred-Spanish.
