PromptCare is seeking a Branch Supervisor to join our team of healthcare professionals in the Respiratory Division. The Supervisor ensures the provision of safe, effective respiratory service and products to patients at home including therapeutics, diagnostics, oxygen and respiratory equipment. This responsibility extends to a 24-hour basis in coordination with the department Manager. This responsibility extends to a 24-hour / 7-day basis in accordance with the nature of care which PromptCare provides. Reports to: Regional Director of Respiratory Operations
Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week plus on-call responsibilities.
Job Location: Westwood, MA
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in home respiratory care
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of respiratory therapy principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Responsibilities:
- Assessments/Admission Process
- Reviews with RCPs admission criteria and patient home care candidacy as necessary
- Discusses any concerns for safety/environmental assessments and admission of patients onto service with RCPs
- Oversees the ongoing assessment of patients for status, equipment, maintenance, and environment, functional and psychosocial issues
- Supervises and implements in training/education of new staff members, documents new employee orientation
- Supervises and collaborates with Warehouse Technician regarding (including, but not limited to):
- Inventory, equipment needs, preventative maintenance schedule, new patient set-ups
- Works closely with Regional Director on issues that relate to branch operations
- Branch point person regarding: pending discharges, new discharges, order issues, etc.
- Triages RCP’s to meet unanticipated needs
Plan of Service/Care
- Oversees the proper initiation of Plans of Service to determine the meeting of standards and Policies and Procedures
- Assists staff with Plan of Service initiation, implementation and ongoing status updates
- Oversees the proper implementation of patient Plans of Service
- Oversees the proper evaluations and updates of Plans of Service and documentation
- Oversees clinical schedule: Triages patient issues/new discharges
- Works Closely with Regional Director to lead in implementing clinical and organizational process changes; instructs RCP’s of these changes
- Provides clinical and operational guidance for RCP’s
- Assists Account Manager/Clinical Liaison when necessary to:
- Process new referrals
- Completing orders
- Corresponding with appropriate patient-care providers (Case Managers,etc.)
Continuity of Care
- Assists with the proper scheduling of set ups and follow up visits according to policies and standards.
- Participates in on-call rotation and performs on-call visits in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Communicates effectively with patients to troubleshoot equipment difficulties or patient problems over the telephone.
- Communicates with coordinator and all team members regarding patient status/change.
- Participates in team and case conferences as primary therapist and Clinical Supervisor for all patients.
- Completes documentation according to Policy and Procedure.
- Updates Plan of Treatment/CMN every 90 days or more frequently as necessary (exceptions included).

The employee must frequently lift and/or move 30 pounds or more.
