Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Requirements:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse school.
  • ANCC Board Certification required.
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted license(s) to practice nursing pursuant to the laws of the State where healthcare services are provided;
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License pursuant to the laws of the State where healthcare services are provided;
  • Possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) number and all other licenses and certificates that may be lawfully required to prescribe dangerous drugs and controlled substances;
  • Ability to possess and maintain adequate/required Professional Liability Insurance policy;
  • Comply with prescription drug monitoring program regulation, including, but not limited to registration and use;
  • Possess and maintain all accreditations, certifications, and credentials necessary and appropriate to enable nurse practitioner to perform, and Company to bill for, the Services;
  • Remain a Medicare and Medicaid Provider in the State where healthcare services are provided;
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as thorough knowledge about the various medical processes and procedures;
  • Ability to function well independently, as well as a member of a multidisciplinary team, ability to work productively and effectively.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Compensation:

  • $120,000-145,000

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for this position. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education. This is not inclusive of the value of ARC Health’s benefits package, which includes, among other benefits, healthcare/dental/vision, and retirement.  


Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Schedule: 

  • Monday-Friday (no weekends)
  • 3 months on-site then 50/50 hybrid
  • Must live within 30-40 min from on-site location

 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:

  • Provides professional clinical services, in the area of mental health, to patients of Advanced Psychiatric Group (the “Company”) in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures of the Company, Company’s clients, applicable standards of professional conduct, and all applicable laws and regulations
  • Enters into a Standard Care Arrangement (the “SCA”) with one or more physicians employed or contracted by the Company, as set forth in Ohio law
  • Assumes responsibility for ensuring compliance with all quality assurance and licensure standards related to his/her SCA(s) including the scheduling and coordination of all compliance activities with the Collaborating Physician or other such parties as necessary, and including keeping records of related reviews of patient records and/or reviews of prescriptions
  • Promptly and thoroughly completes all medical records and any duties necessary to enable and facilitate billing and overall administration in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures of the Company, Company’s clients, applicable standards of professional conduct, and all applicable laws and regulations
  • Participates in call with respect to Company’s patients. Nurse Practitioner shall coordinate said on-call schedule with the other nurse practitioners and/or physicians performing professional services for or on behalf of Company, as needed or applicable
  • Provides call coverage (after hours and otherwise) for his/her own patients
  • Reviews patient records to determine health status and develops plan of care
  • Conducts comprehensive and/or focused assessments, monitors patients’ progress and provides relevant patient education
  • Writes orders as defined by the parameters listed in the SCA
  • Makes referrals as needed to other health professionals and community agencies
  • Participates, fully and timely, in quality improvement processes as applicable
  • Seeks out and attends appropriate continuing education courses to keep up to date on knowledge
  • Participates, fully and timely, in credentialing processes, including CAQH
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment
  • May require long periods of sitting and standing
  • Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person
  • Good communication skills and emotional resilience to provide support to patients facing mental health challenges

APG Health provides behavioral healthcare services to Orlando residents that includes psychiatric care for adults and children, mental health counseling, on-site ADHD testing, and clinical trials and studies for eligible candidates.


We are staffed by fourteen providers, and numerous support staff that include Adult Registered Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors, and Doctors with a range of specialties in the field of psychiatry.
