Description

OCH is expanding and is currently seeking an IT Business Analyst to join our team of uniquely talented, diverse professionals for a large Government project in DC Metro Area. As an IT Business Analyst, you will be instrumental in analyzing complex business problems, defining functional objectives, assessing data sources and availability, and building reports, while also developing and delivering comprehensive business requirements for the government contracting business unit to ensure that solutions effectively meet business needs and project objectives. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate and further develop your business analysis skills while contributing to OCH's success and growth.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, capturing and documenting user stories to ensure business needs are effectively translated into technical specifications.
  • Collect and document detailed requirements, translating them into actionable user stories with input from developers to assess their technical feasibility.
  • Work closely with the team and HHS representatives to help prioritize the backlog and ensure that each sprint delivers features that provide the most value.
  • Coordinate communication with the team and HHS representatives to confirm that all user stories are addressed and gather additional requirements for system improvements.
  • Engage with stakeholders to collect feedback, identify new system requirements, and prioritize items for future releases.
  • Identify risks in current and proposed IT systems.
  • Recommend software and hardware solutions for IT systems.
  • Research industry trends and IT solutions.
  • Apply understanding of security policies and frameworks, including FedRAMP, FISMA, and other relevant federal regulations, to ensure compliance.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. (Preferred but not mandatory).


Experience:

  • 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role, ideally within a government contracting space.
  • Experience in capturing and documenting detailed technical requirements and translating them into actionable user stories.
  • Knowledge of technical concepts and the ability to work with developers to assess technical feasibility.
  • Knowledge of relevant security policies and frameworks, such as FedRAMP, FISMA, and other applicable federal regulations.

Work Authorization and clearance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and clear background checks.
