Description

Mobis North America is looking for a highly skilled Telematics Engineer for testing and development work at our R&D Center in Plymouth, MI.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:


Responsible for understanding Telematics specifications and functional requirements. Construct and execute Telematics function validation plan and testing. Must have excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to work and lead projects effectively.


1. Responsible for understanding Telematics specifications and functional requirements.

2. Construct and execute Telematics function validation plan and testing.

3. Understand the HU system and sub-system specifications.

4. Understand new and current Telematics feature requirements and collaborate with HQ.

5. Communicate effectively with software design and validation teams to improve overall system performance.

6. Prepare the technical evaluation and proposals for engineering change proposals, including test case creation based on proposals.

7. Participate in design reviews for Software and Hardware.

8. Responsible for Test and Design definitions and requirements.

9. Responsible for project management and project review with team.

10. Creation of system test plans based on specifications and standards.

11. Understand and usage of issue logging software including JIRA and Polarion. Ability to create test cases in each system.

12. Analysis of the test results by using all types of logs.


Key Tasks/Required Skills:


  • Responsible for communication with HQ on design and testing definitions.
  • Responsible for task management and task review with team.
  • Creation of system test plans based on specifications and standards.
  • Telematics, leadership, task management experience.
  • Experience with the following technologies and tools: CAN, TCP/IP, and ADB.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with teams effectively.
  • Must have experience with OEM vehicle development projects from start to production.


Experience/Educational Requirements:


2 to 5 years in Telematics

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

Must have design and validation experience in Telematics.


Travel:

Local domestic 5-10%
