Title: Software Engineer Summer Intern

Reports to: Chief Scientist

Summary: As a Software Engineer Summer Intern at Compotech you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced and innovative environment. You will contribute to the development of our software products, gaining valuable hands-on experience and building a solid foundation for your future career in software engineering.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the software engineering team to generate training data for AI/ ML applications or components.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects or issues.
• Conduct research and stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and programming languages relevant to the software engineering field.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance engineers, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software solutions.
• Contribute to the documentation of software designs, processes, and user guides.

Education and/or Experience:  

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in one or more programming languages, such as C++, Python, or RUST in a Linux OS.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Prior internship or project experience in software development is a plus, but not required.

Duration and Compensation:

This is a part-time / full-time (min 20 hours per week) summer internship position, with an expected duration of 6-10 weeks.
