Summary:
The Director, Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing brand strategies and marketing activities for individual products within the company’s portfolio. This individual will be responsible for all activities related his/her assigned brands including conceptualizing and implementing brand strategies in support of achieving product revenue and corporate EBITDA goals.
Specific responsibilities include brand and market development; brand promotion and advertising materials development and implementation; coordination with sales, business analytics, and market research; and hiring and directing the agencies of record and other external vendors. The role may require the ability to manage multiple products / therapeutic areas and build new processes within a growing organization while balancing the needs of internal and external customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with commercial leadership to build / refine the brand’s strategic plan including brand positioning, market and competitive analysis, customer segment strategies and optimal promotional mix.
- Brand and market development; brand promotion and advertising materials development and implementation; coordination with sales, business analytics, and market research; and hiring and directing the agencies of record and other external vendors.
- Oversee marketing communications including branding, public relations, advertising, white papers, peer to peer programming, thought leader management, trade shows, seminars and events collateral materials, advisory boards, and patient education / outreach, digital content web, mobile) design and promotion.
- Oversee product marketing including product launch plans, sales training, presentations, sales tools, competitive analysis and general
- sales support.
- Work closely with sales leadership to develop and implement the company's selling model as well as customer-specific sales strategies and messaging.
- Ensure all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources.
- Collaborate with business analytics to evaluate primary and secondary sources of customers’ insights and current market! product trends.
- Interface with Medical Affairs regarding shared educational objectives and product Iife cycle management.
- Develop and track metrics and success criteria for marketing programs and activities.
- Develop and manage each brand’s marketing budget.

Education and/or Experience:
- BS/BA required. M.B.A. preferred.
- 5-7+ years marketing experience in pharmaceuticals / biotech industries with 1-2 years in a leadership position (e.g.. Associate Director or above)
- Ability to plan, manage and execute at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Work collaboratively with all levels of the organization to create a results-driven, team oriented environment.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives, providing personal leadership through example.
- Think creatively and develop innovative approaches in the healthcare industry.
- Strong strategic planning and analysis skills in sales, marketing, and business (competitive) strategy.
