Summary:

The Area Sales Director (ASD) reports to the SVP, General Manager and is responsible for overseeing the Specialty Account Managers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  This section contains a list of the major responsibilities of this role that account for 5% or more of the work. The incumbent will perform other duties assigned.
  • Hire, train, develop and manage and coach Specialty Account Managers
  • Increase sales/productivity
  • Forecasting against budget
  • Maximize revenue by Specialty Account Managers to hit quarterly budgets
  • Weekly ride-along’s for coaching with Specialty Account Managers
  • Weekly staff meetings (phoning in is acceptable)
  • Establish strong account/HCP 
  • Represent the organization at local, regional and national trade shows
  • Ensure goals and budgets are met
  • Ensure accurate T&E utilization by Key Account Managers
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of 10 Specialty Account Managers
  • Provide input to regional and national sales meetings (content and objectives)
  • Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. 
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all customers and coworkers. 
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures TerSera Therapeutics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.

  •  BS/BA Required (MBA Preferred)
  •  5 – 10 Years Sales Management Experience within the related field
