Summary:
The Area Sales Director (ASD) reports to the SVP, General Manager and is responsible for overseeing the Specialty Account Managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- This section contains a list of the major responsibilities of this role that account for 5% or more of the work. The incumbent will perform other duties assigned.
- Hire, train, develop and manage and coach Specialty Account Managers
- Increase sales/productivity
- Forecasting against budget
- Maximize revenue by Specialty Account Managers to hit quarterly budgets
- Weekly ride-along’s for coaching with Specialty Account Managers
- Weekly staff meetings (phoning in is acceptable)
- Establish strong account/HCP
- Represent the organization at local, regional and national trade shows
- Ensure goals and budgets are met
- Ensure accurate T&E utilization by Key Account Managers
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of 10 Specialty Account Managers
- Provide input to regional and national sales meetings (content and objectives)
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all customers and coworkers.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

- BS/BA Required (MBA Preferred)
- 5 – 10 Years Sales Management Experience within the related field
