This position reports to the General Manager and Sales Director. This individual should possess an outstanding track record of successfully working with customers and providing the highest level of customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial fire, and an affinity for adopting and leveraging the latest tools and technologies. He or she should also have a passion for delivering value to customers.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass background check.
- Must have good driving record.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to get a CA DMV Sales LICENSE
- Must have basic knowledge of Computer systems.
- An associate degree or a high school diploma (GED acceptable) .
- A proven track record in motor vehicle sales would be advantageous.
- A professional appearance, friendly manner, and positive attitude.
- The ability to work toward dealership sales goals while maintaining the client's best interests.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Be directly responsible for selling vehicles, meeting volume and customer satisfaction standards as set at the sole discretion of the dealership.
- Coordinate with the sales director to set and meet new and used sales quotas.
- Maintain current knowledge and familiarity with new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers. Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
- Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technology changes in the product.
- Perform pre-delivery inspection and road test before delivery to customer.
- Meet and Greet customers and clients professionally and courteously
- Answer and follow up on leads
- Helping Arranging the lot and making it presentable.
- Input client information and manage CRM portfolio of customers
- Provide financing options and apply for finance with various lenders
- Lead customers in the signing of contracts, financial documents and DMV paperwork
- Set up and go on test drives for clients
- Deliver vehicles to customers after purchase. This process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty.
- Utilize the delivery of any new or used vehicle to create an event that will facilitate customer loyalty to the dealership. Understand equity and values and be able to explain depreciation to customer.
- Conduct telephone transactions courteously and promptly.
- Know and understand the federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales.
- Attend pertinent training and stay current with sales department concerns and sales techniques.
- Attend regular sales meetings.
- Occasionally create content for social media posts
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in an outside environment.
- Must be able to drive Vehicles small and big.
- May have to work in a noisy environment and in inclement weather conditions.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule (opening shifts closing shifts and holydays)
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Safely work with team to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 100 pounds. Stand, walk or sit for long periods of time without resting. Ability to perform routine kneeling, crouching or crawling.
