Position Description and Responsibilities:

Journeyman Modeling and Simulation Engineer/Analyst will support a leading edge government team working in a highly classified environment to influence the development of models and simulations related to air vehicle combat survivability and effectiveness, participate in the conduct of the modeling and simulation runs and subsequently analyze the results and develop conclusions and recommendations for application of relevant findings. Key Responsibilities include:

- Conduct modeling and simulation activities to evaluate aircraft survivability against various threats

- Analyze and interpret simulation data to identify key design attributes and recommend enhancements

- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate survivability considerations into aircraft designs

- Develop and maintain documentation for modeling, simulation protocols, and analytical results

- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute to design and analysis discussions

- Stay current with industry trends, methodologies, and technologies related to aircraft survivability

- Support the development and execution of test plans and validation efforts as needed


Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.  

- Experience with modeling and simulation software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, or similar tools).  

- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Python, Excel, or equivalent).  

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.  

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.  

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.  

- US Citizen

- Eligible for Top Secret security clearance


Preferred Skills:

- Familiarity with aircraft systems, design, performance principles, and survivability concepts, metrics, and assessments

- Experience with statistical analysis and risk assessment techniques.

Salary Description
$112,855.00 - $165,584.00 depending on experience
