Position Purpose:

The Production Scheduler develops, prepares, updates, and maintains production schedule to ensure maximum efficiencies to meet shipping and customer deadlines.  The Production Scheduler assists in updating of ERP data, production reporting, and the integrity of production related system data.


THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION.  


Position Functions:

· Actively participate in the development of production scheduling process and tools.

· Utilize ERP system to develop, update and release Production Schedule to production, quality, maintenance and other departments.

· Utilize scheduling tools to prepare, communicate/distribute, monitor, and update manufacturing and shipping schedules. 

· In conjunction with production management, continuously monitor and report production progress and adjust schedules as necessary. 

· Assist production management in the manual entry of data into ERP system and electronic record keeping of production documentation.

· Participate in/facilitate weekly production meeting.

· Work with sales team to initiate work orders. 

· Work with program management team to initiate work order for new program development event. 

· Participate inventory count periodically. 

· Actively participant in process improvement efforts for production scheduling and ERP system.

· Conduct internal auditing for ISO/IATF.

· In conjunction with production management, collect and prepare data for external audits.

· Performs in a safe, productive, and respectful manner.

· Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Three years of production/manufacturing scheduling experience,      for batch process such as blow molding, injection, and or metal press experience are preferred. 
  • ERP experience required, IQMS preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to strategically plan and manage schedules effectively.
  • Understanding of audit processes. Ability to obtain Internal Auditor certification.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Automotive manufacturing environment experience preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
  • Ability to understand products, process, equipment capacity, and run rates. 
  • Ability to prioritize workflow, multitask and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to develop/improve and implement processes.  Process improment experience a must. 
  • Creative and flexible to work closely with all of management team for shared success. 
  • Excellent and respectful written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to develop and implement processes and process improvements.
  • Ability to document processes and output. 

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to sit at a computer monitor for long periods in a temperature-controlled environment with standard office equipment.

· Ability to continuously move between office and manufacturing environment with extreme temperature changes.

· Ability to walk, stand, bend, crouch, and stoop occasionally throughout a 10-hour period in an environment with varying temperatures and conditions.

· Ability to work in an environment with moving and noisy equipment.

· Ability to visually inspect materials.

· Ability to use sight and touch.
