WARE is seeking a Project Manager for our Chattanooga regional location. The successful candidate will be a servant-leader with exceptional leadership, organization, and communication abilities who can pivot and adapt quickly to unforeseen changes with positivity, patience, and efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and manage multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed in a safe, orderly, professional, and clean manner
  • Go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction on all projects, adhering to WARE standards of excellence, acting and communicating with a proactive sense of urgency
  • Build and maintain relationships with local contractors and vendors, managing schedules, staffing and scopes of work
  • Establish, manage, and communicate project schedules, adhering to critical path completion milestones, adjusting, and communicating necessary changes as they occur to ensure projects maintain profitability standards and timely completion
  • Provide leadership in contract negotiations and subcontract agreements, ensuring scope of work is clearly communicated and agreed upon by all parties
  • Work closely with other WARE departments such as safety, procurement, accounting, scheduling, and operations to ensure everyone is working in tandem with clear communication and expectations set forth
  • Exercise foresightful contingency planning by developing and implementing recovery plans as needed in the event surprises or potential delays occur
  • Inspect on site work to ensure agreed upon deliverables and standards of excellence are achieved
  • Manage administrative procedures and maintain all necessary records for projects
  • Manage and ensure all punch-list and project close out tasks area completed
  • Prepare inspection plans, requests for quotes, job plans, material requisitions, work orders forservices, cost tracking, budgeting, monthly forecasting, and accruals
  • Review, validate and approve invoices within delegated authority limits
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports
  • Conduct project site visits to ensure compliance with company policies

Requirements
  •  5+ years full-time construction or similar industry project manager experience
  • Knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, etc.
  • Technical expertise with practical hands-on working experience in areas such as construction, operation, maintenance, and repair
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and shop drawings
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships internally and externally
  • Superb organizational skills that reflect proven ability to multi-task and own the details
  • Tech-savvy, adaptable to new software and programs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in working online
