About Us
With over 140 years of groundbreaking projects under our belt, SMRT is where innovation meets tradition. Our 130-person team dives into everything from sleek new builds to intricate renovations, all while pushing the industry forward in sustainable, energy-efficient design.
Program Details:
- SMRT’s Summer Internship Program runs for 12 Weeks from June to August.
- Our internships are paid positions.
- Interns must be able to work in-person in either our Bangor or Portland office.
- Application Window Ends: January 15, 2025.
What We’re Looking For:
- Mitchell Institute Scholar: Must be a current Mitchell Scholar confirmed by the Mitchell Institute
- Education: You’ve completed at least two years of a bachelor’s program in Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical), or Marketing.
- Portfolio: Architecture, Interiors, Landscape Architecture, and Marketing students are required to provide a portfolio to be considered.
- Travel: Must be able to travel to the Portland, ME office for the Intern Summit, and the Andover, MA office for a mid-point check-in (travel expenses paid by SMRT).
