Job Description
- Verify patient insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits prior to patient appointments
- Complete patient registration
- Communicate with scheduling and doctor communication teams
- Communicate with patients regarding their insurance coverage and benefits
- Interact with patients and insurance companies to obtain necessary information
- Navigate insurance company websites and online tools to confirm details of coverage
- Comply with all privacy and confidential rules and regulations, HIPAA
Pay Information: $20.38 to $24.95/hour, based on experience
Knowledge/Skills Abilities Required
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 Years of medical office or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent computer/10-key skills.
• Knowledge with Word and Excel systems.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain quality control standards.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of EHR system is a plus.
• Type at least 40 WPM.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to maintain quality control standards.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA requirements
