Alacrity Solutions, Specialty and Auto Division is looking for a Support Specialist with experience on an IT help desk supporting users and customers with Microsoft Windows computers and related technology. Along with Microsoft’s suite of products, applicants will continually develop knowledge and support applications built in-house. Applicants should be able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and possess the ability to learn quickly. Troubleshooting skills are a plus. Primary Duties include but are not limited to: (Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform essential functions.)
• Desk-side, email, phone, and ticketing system support of operating systems, printing, applications, and light network/server support.
• Installs, configures, and supports software as needed for new user computers and devices.
• Creates and manages user accounts in various systems.
• Monitors and corrects transactional issues with soft-copy file transfers using GUI tools.
• Self-initiated research to learn and apply problem-resolution steps.
• Escalate issues that require engineer-level support and/or have exceeded SLA timelines.
• Monitors work queue for follow-up and to ensure resolution.
• Consistent communication of issue/need status and resolution in writing to IT management and affected user(s).
• Other duties as assigned. Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Skills & Requirements:
• Advanced understanding of Windows operating systems including user administration, domain, printing, and related networking.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite.
• Apple iPhone & Android device, basic knowledge with the ability to support and troubleshoot.
• Proficient typing for quick and accurate written data entry, communication, and documentation.
