POSITION OVERVIEW

The Brand Strategy Analyst will help our brands bridge the gap between advertising strategies and e-commerce performance to generate actionable insights, improve performance transparency, and facilitate successful goal setting. This candidate will have strong analytical skills, the ability to create simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results in a clear and easy-to-understand way.


Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Seek to understand all technical and business requirements thoroughly to develop scalable, automated reporting solutions that resonate with customer needs.
  • Build out impactful dashboards which tell a compelling story with the data to uncover problems and drive actionable recommendations. 
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships with retail, marketing, operations, data science, and engineering internal stakeholders.

Data wrangling - gathering, cleaning, transforming, and organizing raw, unstructured data into a structured and usable format for analysis, modeling, and visualization - and constantly evaluating data output for accuracy.

  • Become an expert on the brands you work with to provide next level insights and holistic recommendations that drive results.
  • Effectively present your findings and data insights to diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to propose and conduct ad-hoc analyses that align with business goal objectives. 
  • Leverage data analytics tools and software to extract actionable insights from market data, sales reports, and consumer behavior metrics.
  • Conduct thorough competitive analysis – assess market & industry trends and new emerging opportunities within a product category.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes while improving Brand Analyst team collaboration and knowledge share.
  • Work cooperatively with the marketing teams to execute analytics projects pertaining to digital advertising strategy and sales performance.
  • Support the goal setting and monitoring process by assisting with regular goal evaluations and progress reporting.


Knowledge/Skills that you possess:

  • Strong business and analytical acumen
  • High attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Advanced experience with various Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with prior experience communicating analytical findings to diverse audiences
  • Experience defining metrics and developing reporting to answer business questions
  • Exposure to digital advertising and e-commerce
  • Demonstrated ability to convert abstract concepts / data into actionable insights
  • Excellent at fostering trusting relationships with cross-functional partners and teammates
Requirements

  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent analytical experience
  • 2-4 years’ leveraging analytics to inform cross-functional business decisions
  • Advanced experience in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros)
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience with B2C organizations/CPG and a strong demonstrated understanding of various inputs/levers that impact business results


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience gathering and distilling technical requirements to engineering and data teams
  • Advanced experience in using SQL to analyze and manipulate large volumes of data
  • Understanding of various statistical methods employed in data analysis
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian (Jira, Trello) or other task/project management tools
  • Direct Amazon experience (Amazon Marketing Cloud, Vendor & Seller Central, Helium 10, Junglescout Cobalt) 
  • Prior role in B2C marketing analytics, retail, and/or consulting
