As the In-Giyse Attorney at The Jeffcoat Firm, you will manage the initial client intake process for civil claims, review potential cases, interact with potential clients, and determine case acceptance. The Intake Attorney will vet cases for Firm representation or to be referred to the Firm’s referral partners.
What you'll be doing:
- Acting as the first point of contact for potential personal injury clients, ensuring they feel heard and supported
- Conducting intake calls, evaluating cases, and determining whether the firm can represent the client or refer them to a trusted partner
- Document and analyze case details, conduct preliminary legal research as necessary
- Leverage the Firm’s referral network to send appropriate claims for prosecution
- Explaining legal options in a way that is easy to understand, helping clients make informed decisions
- Maintaining detailed records in the firm’s case management system, Litify
- Collaborating with New Client Specialists and Case Managers to ensure a seamless transition for clients who move forward with the firm
- Following up on cases referred to partner firms to ensure clients receive excellent service
- Contributing to ongoing improvements in the intake process to make it even more effective
- Performs other job duties and responsibilities as required.
- Attend required daily morning and monthly Firm “All Hands” meetings.
Who you are:
- Licensed attorney in good standing with the SC bar association
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Natural communicator who enjoys building relationships and helping people
- Someone with strong customer service or sales experience, particularly in a professional setting
- Detail-oriented and comfortable using technology, including Microsoft Office and case management software like Litify or Salesforce
