Career Opportunity: Corporate Materials Quote Manager
Reports to: Director of Global Supply Chain & Sourcing
This is an On-Site Position working at our Brooksville, FL facility. (NOT REMOTE OR HYBRID)
The Corporate Materials Quote Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all material quoting activities related to corporate customer Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ). The role ensures the preparation and delivery of cost-competitive materials cost of goods sold (mCOGs), in alignment with corporate commodity strategies, to support Spartronics’ bids for new business opportunities. This position works closely with Program Managers, Corporate Quote Bid Teams, and Commodity Estimators to secure best-in-class pricing and optimal supplier partnerships.
What a Day Looks Like:
- Lead and Manage Quoting Process
- Oversee the material quoting process for RFP and RFQ activities, including verifying inputs, assigning tasks to Commodity Estimators, and ensuring adherence to the quoting checklist.
- Ensure the accuracy of quoted material costs (mCOGs) and alignment with corporate supplier strategies to enable competitive bids.
Team Coordination:
- Assign parts to Commodity Estimators for RFQ preparation, ensuring they gather pricing, lead times, MOQs, and packaging information from approved suppliers.
- Conduct a final review of all quoted materials to confirm best and final offers before submitting to the Corporate Quote Bid Team.
- Organize project kickoff meetings to share details and milestones with relevant stakeholders.
Supplier & Pricing Management:
- Work with Commodity Leaders to utilize preferred price books for catalog components, maintaining relationships with suppliers and negotiating pricing quarterly
- Ensure all RFQs are sent to suppliers on the Corporate Approved Supplier List, following company protocols for securing sensitive design information.
- Collaborate with the Global Supply Chain team on projects with material costs exceeding $500K, aligning with corporate supply chain strategies.
Data Management:
- Maintain centralized SharePoint databases for RFP/RFQ documentation and project files, ensuring all quote packages are up to date.
- Utilize tools such as QuoteWin eDI for uploading and managing material RFQs, supplier responses, and project cost roll-ups.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a materials quoting or procurement role within a manufacturing or technology environment.
- Strong knowledge of BOM management, supplier relationships, and cost estimation processes.
Skills
- Expertise in material quoting tools (e.g., QuoteWin eDI) and cost roll-up templates
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills
- Strong analytical skills, especially in pricing trends, supplier negotiations, and RFQ evaluations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and SharePoint for data management.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience in lieu of education may be considered.
Other Requirements:
- Experience working with international suppliers and understanding global regulatory requirements (e.g., ITAR, FARs, NADCAP).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronics or aerospace manufacturing.
- Familiarity with NDA protocols, non-recurring engineering (NRE), and government flow-down regulations.
