ASRT, Inc. provides scientific, information management, management consulting, bioinformatics, and administrative program support to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other Federal and private sector clients. The successful candidate will be a full-time employee of ASRT, Inc. and will be assigned to the Partnership and Health Equity Branch

(PHEB), Immunization Services Division (ISD) within the National  Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), at the CDC, located at 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA 30329.


SCOPE OF WORK


The Public Health Analyst III will provide technical assistance and program analytic and communication support for CDC’s Partnership and Health Equity Branch (PHEB) in the Immunization Services Division (ISD).


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative, logistical, programmatic, and analytic support for technical monitoring of Notices of Funding Opportunity(NOFOs)/Cooperative Agreements (CoAgs)/ Intra-Departmental Delegations of Authority (IDDAs)/IAAs /contracts.
  • Develop with CDC staff, implement, analyze, and report on results of questionnaires and other tools used to assess adult immunization programs and stakeholder programs on adult, childhood immunizations or emergency preparedness / responses.
  • Conduct analyses, develop reports, and summarize work on immunizations and efforts to reduce disparities in vaccination rates by US immunization programs.
  • Conduct analyses to assess implementation of national adult, childhood or emergency preparedness/response immunization standards.
  • Provide logistical and communications support for any vaccine preventable disease, including adult, childhood or emergency preparedness/response immunizations.
  • Conduct literature searches and summarize literature related to advances in immunization uptake, delivery, cost effectiveness, best practices, or vaccine equity for increasing immunization coverage.
  • Provide general technical and programmatic assistance in support of PHEB and ISD activities related to vaccination/immunization in emergencies (such as an influenza or COVID-19 pandemic or other emerging vaccine preventable diseases for preparedness and response activities)
  • Provide general technical and programmatic assistance for public health emergency responses, at the discretion of the supervisor.
  • Manage the day-to-day oversight of PHEB’s organizational email box(es).
  • Travel to conferences as needed (such as National Adult and Influenza Immunization Summit or National Immunization Conference)
  • This position will be done remotely. Plan for travel for up to 4 site visits to Atlanta per year.
Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Public Health or related field with 6 years of experience or PhD in Public Health or related field with 4 years of experience

Required:

  • High level of organization
  • Ability to anticipate needs and identify work to be done independently
  • Knowledge of the principles, concepts, methods and the techniques of public health research and evaluation to analyze, evaluate and provide expert advice and consultation
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to make clear, convincing presentations, explain and justify recommendations, represent the assigned program or project areas and provide guidance to program administrators and provide technical assistance and training to project or program staff

Desirable:

  • Prior experience at CDC in a similar capacity strongly preferred
  • Background in public health programs
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or similar systems

Language Skills:

  • The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

REQUIREMENT:

  • Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident or have authorization for employment in the United States
  • Must be able to qualify for a public trust security clearance

Salary Description
$95,000 - $110,000
