Position Overview:


The Accounting Revenue Manager will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, effective cost management, and adherence to accounting standards. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage financial processes across multiple business lines within Business Central.

This position should have a deep understanding of business operations and the ability to implement scalable financial processes while maintaining robust internal controls. Advanced knowledge of ERP systems is essential, specifically in system design and data flows. Experience with Business Central in a multi-company environment is also required.

Based in West Virginia, the Accounting Revenue Manager will collaborate closely with operations and finance teams across multiple locations in the United States, driving financial performance and strategic growth.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue & Gross Margin Reconciliation
    • Reconcile revenue and gross margin (GM) across all lines of business, ensuring alignment between the General Ledger and other ledgers within Business Central.
    • Analyze variances in revenue and GM, providing actionable insights for business improvement.
  • Landed Cost Management
    • Oversee the landed cost process for all inventory receipts, ensuring accurate cost allocation and compliance with internal policies.
    • Regularly review and update landed cost calculation methodologies to reflect changes in logistics and import costs. Developing strategies in coordination with key stakeholders to minimize these costs.
  • Invoice Oversight
    • Manage the purchase and sales invoice processes, ensuring that correct dimensions and posting groups are consistently applied.
    • Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure invoice accuracy and timely processing.
  • Inventory Control
    • Supervise physical inventory counts at the West Virginia, Maryland, and California warehouses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to inventory management practices.
    • Coordinate with warehouse teams to address discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
  • Master Record Maintenance
    • Ensure customer, vendor, and item master records are created and maintained according to the established master record lifecycle process.
    • Regularly review master records to ensure data integrity and alignment with business requirements.
  • Corrective Entry Review
    • Review and approve all corrective entries, including credit memos, item reclassifications, inventory write-offs, etc., to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
    • Collaborate with others to identify trends and mitigate recurring issues.
  • Job Accounting Oversight
    • Oversee job accounting entries, working closely with Staff Accounts and Cost Accounting Managers, ensuring work-in-progress (WIP) and project costs are recorded accurately.
    • Provide regular reports on WIP and project costs to support business decision-making.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
    • Prepare business-specific Profit & Loss statements (P&L) and Balance Sheets (BS), incorporating key business metrics.
    • Utilize AMS’ business intelligence tools and Excel for financial analysis, providing clear and actionable reports to stakeholders.

 

Requirements

  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management, ideally in a mid-sized organization.
  • Strong understanding of Business Central.
  • Proven experience with revenue and COGS management.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
