Food Server
Description

Position Summary: To take food and drink orders from guests and enter correctly and accurately in to POS; cash handling; stocking supplies; performing sidework and running sidework; cleaning/bussing tables; greeting all guests upon arrival and thanking and saying ”goodbye” to all guests as they leave; assisting all staff and management to maintain a clean restaurant including all work areas and kitchen areas.

Food Server Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Possesses clear and friendly communication skills 
  • Possesses ability to ‘sell’ 
  • Guiding guests through the menu while demonstrating thorough knowledge of food, beverage and ingredients 
  • Taking accurate orders and partnering with team members to serve food and beverages that meet and exceed guest expectations 
  • Providing friendly and attentive service that makes guests feel well taken care of and builds their intent to return
  • Interact in courteous and professional manner with Guests, management and co-workers 
  • Monitors guests’ behavior while purchasing or consuming alcohol to stay within the Alcohol Beverage
  • Control Rules and Regulations 
  • Complete opening and closing duties as assigned
  • Possess current CA Food Handler’s Card
  • Possess current Alcohol Safety Certification
  • Other requirements: basic math skills, positive attitude, ability to handle stress well, ability to multi-task, physical requirements could include standing, walking, reaching, lifting (up to 25 lbs) and bending.
