Description

SUMMARY:

  • Facility support: Performing building repairs and troubleshooting kitchen equipment 
  • Equipment maintenance: Repairing ice or soda machines and making adjustments to HVAC systems 
  • Daily inspections: Performing daily inspections of the restaurant and responding to issues 
  • Ordering replacement parts: Working with the general manager to order replacement parts or equipment 
  • Establishing maintenance procedures: Developing processes and procedures for each maintenance task, including safety guidelines and necessary tools 

It's not always feasible to handle every aspect of maintenance in-house, so it's important to choose and manage vendors carefully. This may include local maintenance contractors for areas such as plumbing, electrical works, and specialized equipment repair.
